複合関係代名詞の意味
whatと同じように、複合関係代名詞もその中に先行詞も含み、さらにany「どんな～でも」の意味をつけ加えたものである。
複合関係代名詞 = [ any + 名詞 + 関係代名詞 ]
whoever = any + 名詞 + who ……
1. a basket that I made 私が作ったかご
what I made 私が作ったもの
2. any basket that I made 私が作ったどのかごでも
whatever I made 私が作ったどんなものでも

whoever = any one who～ 「～な人はだれでも」
whomever = any one whom＋S～「Sが～な人はだれでも」
複合関係代名詞の格は、関係代名詞の格によってきめられる。
Give it to whoever [any one who] wants this information.
この情報を欲しい人には、誰にでもそれをあげなさい。
Give it to whomever [any one whom] you like. あなたが好きな人なら誰にでもそれをあげなさい。

10.2.1 譲歩の複合関係代名詞 【ナチュラル】
～ever = [ no matter ＋ 疑問詞 ]
「たとえ～であろうとも/～しようとも」 mayを伴うことが多い
whoever = no matter who 「誰が～しようとも」
「誰が～であろうとも」
whichever = no matter which 「どちらが～しようとも」
「どちらが～であろうとも」
whatever = no matter what 「何が/ 何を～しようとも」
「何が/ 何を～であろうとも」
Everyone listens to him whatever [ no matter what ] he says.
彼が何を言おうとも、みんな彼の話を聞く。
Stay calm whatever[no matter what] happens [ may happen ].
どんな事が起ころうとも落ち着いていなさい。
Whatever [No matter what ]your problems are, they are sure to be resolved more easily than mine. あなたの問題が何であろうとも、きっと私が抱えている問題より対処しやすい。

どちらを選ぼうとも、あなたは十分に満足するでしょう。

注意：目的格の複合関係代名詞whomeverを使うところだが、副詞節としては現在はあまり使われていないで、whoeverで代用する。
10.2.2 譲歩の複合関係形容詞 【ナチュラル】
whichever～ = no matter which～ 「どちらの/どの～が…しようとも」
「どちらの/どの～が…であろうとも」
whatever～ = no matter what～ 「どんな～が…しようとも」
「どんな～が…であろうとも」
Whichever book you borrow, you must return it by Monday.
どの本を借りようとも月曜までに返さなければなりません。
Whatever man told you the story, you should not believe it.
どんな人がその話をあなたにしたとしても、あなたはその話を信じるべきではない。
10.3 複合関係副詞
whenever wherever howeverの３つで、全部副詞節を導く。
10.3.1 前置詞＋any＋先行詞＋関係代名詞／関係副詞に代わる場合 【ナチュラル】
whenever = at any time when … 「…いつでも」= every time, each time
wherever = at any place where … 「…どこでも」
Come whenever [= at any time when (that)] you like.
君のお好きな時に、いつもおいで下さい。
Go wherever [= to any place where (that)] you want to live.
君が住みたいと思うところへ、どこへでもお行きなさい。
10.3.2 [no matter＋疑問副詞]に代わり、譲歩の接続詞になるもの 【ナチュラル】
